A clear haemostatic gel in the form of a prefilled syringe, ready to use. In contact with physiological fluid, PuraStat will form a 3-dimensional scaffold, creating a mechanical barrier to stop bleeding. Its slightly viscous but transparent nature makes it easy to apply to narrow and difficult to reach area while maintaining full visibility throughout the procedure.
PuraStat can be used to achieve haemostasis during endoscopic intervention in case of bleeding from small blood vessels and oozing from capillaries of the GI tract following endoscopic resection procedures. PuraStat is also indicated for the reduction of delayed bleeding following gastrointestinal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures in the colon.
