Indication : Prevention of nail and skin toxicity associated with docetaxel.

Nail (dyschromia and onycholysis) and skin toxicity occurs in about 50% of patients treated with docetaxel. It can cause inflammation, neurogenic disorder, angiogenic disorder and/or infection.
It has been proven by a multicenter case control study that the flexible frozen glove Akromed significantly reduces the nail and skin toxicity associated with docetaxel and provides a new tool in supportive care management for a better quality of life for the patient.

• The glycerine based gel remains soft even at very low temperature.
• The removable cover material is a waterproof stretchable fabric which can be sponged with water and soap.
• The ankle strap assures good position maintenance.

Accessories:  Inner disposable slippers (non sterile) , ensuring proper hygiene and avoiding direct contact with the frozen slippers.

Instructions for Use

Store the product in the freezer for a minimum of two (2) hours. It may be left in the freezer indefinitely until ready for use. It will remain flexible even at -30°C. Remove the product prior to defrosting the freezer.
