Laparoscopic Smoke Filter Set
Fairmont Medical’s Lapview is a passive and on demand smoke evacuation filter system which provides a safe, cost effective smoke removal solution.
The Laparoscopic Smoke Filter Set is designed to provide surgeons with a clear, smoke-free field of view during often confined laparoscopic procedures.
By utilizing our unique dial-up system, the Lapview offers three adjustable flow rates:
- 4L (1)
- 6L (2)
- 8L (3) per minute
This gives the surgeon flexibility, including turning the dial to ‘0’ when not in use.
Description
Why it matters
During the burning of tissue with diathermy instruments, smoke is released that contains chemicals. Some of these are known irritants, while others such as PAH’s, benzene and formaldehyde are recognized carcinogens.
Lapview’s filtration system with activated carbons helps reduce these odour-causing and harmful chemicals, creating a safer environment for both patient and theatre personnel.
