Recommended for simple washing of hands and skin in the hospital environment.

Objectives:
Eliminate dirt, reduce transient flora. Indications for simple washing of hands and skin:

• In case of visible soiling
• After accidental contact with body fluids or mucous membranes
• After removal of gloves - At the start of service / At the end of service
• For the daily cleansing of healthy skin

Additional recommendations:

Hands and forearms must be without jewellery, without wristwatch, clean short nails and without varnish.
Short-sleeved workwear.
0.2 μm filtered water is recommended if the available water is not microbiologically controlled.
