Toumai® Multi-Portlaparoscopic surgical system
Precision in Every Movement. Value in Every Procedure.
The Toumai® is a next-generation multi-port laparoscopic surgical robotic system that combines high clinical precision with operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The system is designed to provide surgeons with maximum control, ergonomic comfort, and reproducible outcomes across a broad range of minimally invasive procedures.
With its compact design, 7 degrees of freedom per robotic arm, tremor filtration, and Full HD visualization, Toumai® supports both experienced robotic surgeons and teams looking to expand their robotic surgery programs. The system is CE-marked under the EU MDR and is already in clinical use across Europe and beyond.
Description
Overview
The Toumai® has been developed with a strong focus on clinical reliability, ease of use, and economic sustainability. The system consists of a surgeon console, a patient cart with robotic arms, and an imaging and energy system, and offers:
- A multi-port robotic platform with a traditional, proven form factor
- 7 degrees of freedom per arm, with articulated instruments that exceed human dexterity
- Tremor filtration and high positioning accuracy
- An ergonomic surgeon console with multiple adjustable seating positions
- A compact patient cart with fast and intuitive positioning
- A telesurgery-ready architecture (network-dependent and hospital-controlled)
Clinical applications
The Toumai® is used clinically across multiple specialties, including:
- Urology (e.g. radical prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy)
- Gynecology (e.g. hysterectomy, oncological procedures)
- General surgery (e.g. colorectal and upper GI surgery)
- Thoracic surgery (e.g. lung lobectomy)
With more than 350 clinical cases in Western Europe and over 220 installations worldwide, the platform demonstrates a high level of clinical maturity.
